- 1 large onion, cut into half rings
- 1 ⅓ sticks of butter
- 3 lb tomatoes
- ⅓ cup cream
- Melt butter in large saucepan.
- Add onion and cook on lowest heat for half an hour, covered. Stir until translucent.
- Add tomatoes and simmer for half an hour.
- Add cream and stir.
